Okay, I seem to have a lighting OCD. I am discovering that LED light-bulbs burn out or rather they will sudden go crazy dim. I bought some extras, but I realized that years later they don't match in exact color temperature and brightness unless they are the same make/model and vintage as well as have the same run-hours.

I have one I want to swap... Long story short, I put a replacement in, and the other replacement I cut the pigtail (will have extras) and with wire nuts put it on a cord on a metal shelf in the garage. Going to burn it for 2 months solid... That should break it in enough to match.

They are these:

The other option is to buy 20 more of these, but I don't want to drop $500 again on lighting only 2 years later.

I have two overhead lights in my living room. One blew so I replaced it with another of the same make/model and temperature as the other one.
Unfortunately, when I flicked the switch, the new one was definitely yellow where the other was more white.
I looked at them for several seconds, thought life's too short, turned off the switch and went about my business!

How'd you blow a LED? I've never had one fail and I'll probably end up gifting them to my daughter after I'm gone - heh!

Honestly, I have had 5 regular screw in type blow and now one of these. It probably happens when there are around 63 LED light bulbs around the house.
