Starting to see these hard drives and started researching some USB adapters on Amazon. I was surprised to see there are many types of these drives and I can't seem to find a multi adapter, is there one? What do you find are the most common drives if I have to limit to 1 or 2 devices.

Have you found a multi-adapter yet? If so what adapter? I am running into this issue a lot with all these different types of drives I would love one or two adapters for anything that runs across my desk.

We had that discussion again not too long ago -

We should really have a section of the site like a Wiki for technicians to find common and not so common adapters for various formats and connections. That would be incredibly helpful. We can have manufacturer links and places to buy. Of course, mostly provided as-is but still, would be a good resource.

I ran into this the past week. Network guru who hasn’t been a computer technician in like 9 years ran into a **** show trying to upgrade my darks computer from Windows 10 to 11 on new hardware. I will need to start a whole new thread just to report what I learned, but I ran into this. I actually tried to use a NVMe m.2 in an SATA m.2 slot. Both devices said m.2 on them and the slot looked right with regard to the size and slot. Suffice to say it simply didn’t work, and I then bought a converter that didn’t work. I just saw that it was for NVMe and said SATA and day delivery, so I bought it only to look at the connector later and wonder WTF it is not being SATA.
