Well, I have been sporting a Logitech Mx518 for years!
Bought it for a mere $39.99 + shipping many years back, and as of yesterday it started moving erratically though the sensor is NOT dirty.
All I can say is Dang. I love my 5+ button Logitech mice. It started with the Mx500 probably two decades ago, and that lasted maybe three (3) years. Regardless, I loved it and just for shits contacted Logitech back then via email, and they replaced it with another, new Mx500 free of charge!
That just kept going and maybe three to five years later, I upgraded to the Mx518, which has been perfection.
****************
I contacted support, and they are still great! Anyway, they agreed to replace it free of charge, only they don't make it nor anything like it anymore. Instead, they offered me a G300s, which looks great, but it has no side buttons, so the guy offered a G502s, which looked like a transformer, etc.
They were definitely willing to go above and beyond the call of duty. I ended up settling for a M500. I figure it has all the buttons I actually use and a laser sensor.... I am a little disappointed though.
Ultimately, I also ordered the G400s on Amazon for $70, which is a ripoff, but they don't make that anymore, and it is in the same form factor as what I am used to. It's probably the perfect successor to the MX518; I hope.
This is what I had:

This is what I bought to replace it because they don't make this anymore, either :-

This is what Warranty is Sending (per my request):

These are pretty much their current offerings :-(
This is what I am talking about... I don't want to figure out how to operate one of these:
