Hi, if it’s a laptop that you are trying to get the F10 trick to work I have found that plugging in a USB keyboard works every time. If I use the built in keyboard it doesn’t, odd that! Hope that helps or works for you.

Hmmm, just got an new Acer Aspire 5 A515-57 that doesn't open a command window from the Language selection or any other screen, using the o/b keyboard or a USB keyboard. This is such a PITA.

@Larry Sabo you should use a bootable usb and boot windows and instead of installing on partition setting you can use shift + f10 to open a command window.
If your goal is diskpart, chkdsk or copy a file. Then it should be possible.

Yeah, I know. I went ahead and installed from installation media that allows creating a local account.

I never had any issues installing via the usual mediacreationtool.bat
I totally dk from internet and do the usual bypass.
