New Raspberry Pi

Theres an unbeliavable amount of possibilities with the Pi Zero, I wish it was easier to get a hold of them, they still tend to be out of stock here in the NL (or cost a small fortune of course)

Just a revival - pi-hole got a recent update. I've been using it on a 1st gen pi for some time now and it's behaved flawlessly. The latest update adds some UI improvements on the web interface. I'd strongly recommend giving it a look.

Wow, they sure have been busy!

Just updated mine and can't get it blocking anything. In-fact no websites are loading at all now.

I've got a feeling it might have something to do with the Vodafone router I'm using.

When I manually set the DNS on my devices to the Pi-hole IP it works just fine. When setting the DNS IPs on the router to my Pi-hole I lose all connectivity.

Definitely the router. I have read a few other people having problems like this using D-Link routers.

Ah okay. They did mention something similar in the update notes to some routers not liking it:

"Some routers do not let you change the DNS server, preventing Pi-hole from working network-wide. Now you can use Pi-hole as your DHCP server as well (this was always possible via dnsmasq, but we just made it a bit more accessible)." Obviously depends on your setup onsite whether this is plausible but might be an easier work around than manual DNS on all devices.

Somebody actually built a server out of them:

I am a ham radio operator as one of my other many hobbies. I got a Pi 2 last year and have it operating as an APRS system. Those of you who don't know what that is, think of it as GPS, but using ham radio. :) Its pretty awesome and it's been running solid since I set it up. Now I need a fist full of Pi's for other projects. Perhaps this Pi Zero will be a great alternative that's a little more financially sound with buying a lot of Pi's. :)

Very cool, VA7CXP here. Is yours mobile for your vehicle or basestation?

Sweet! Been thinking of setting up something mobile in my rig.
I did a fair amount of research on it way back when I set it up and I guess the Chinese radios (Wouxun and Baofeng) tend to have some issues, however Woxun is the better of the two and I have had zero issues with mine for any use. :) The guy behind the Beowulf software has done numerous updates since I did my install so I have not done any updates just because I remember the difficulty I had getting it setup initially...lol
