This is In-Process research mode. If anyone knows the root of the issue, please comment.
Some of you might not see this if you're an MSP, but those of us in the wild, you might see this. I've seen it a few times now. My clients usually set up New Outlook on their own and then the accounts show up in the nav pane but the emails don't download and show gray lines. Nothing fixes it, rebooting, updates, etc. I tried to remove the account and the "remove" account option is grayed out.
The only odd ball fix I have found to work is launch Outlook Classic back up, then you can remove all the accounts in New Outlook. The gray lines is now a problem with some IMAP and some Gmail accounts, these go together but I have yet to figure out the root problem of why the accounts A.) can't be removed and B.) some have gray lines when trying to read inbox emails.
In my research queue, working on the client system this week to Scooby-Do it. I'll update when I figure it out.
