New name/New Website.....Thoughts?

As you may or may not know, I recently decided to change my name after discovering that it was not quite as original as I previously thought. I won't go into any other details on that, but I wanted to get some thought on the new site.

It is not yet complete, but I'm chipping away at it as i have the time over the next few days.

With over 2000 purchases, there must be a fair few websites out there running it by now!

I like the look and feel, but maybe change it a bit more, because all these wordpress sites are now starting to look the same.

The very top navigation is hard to read, with the colours and size, also is it needed as most of it is repeated by the navigation to the right of your logo

Try put an icon (i.e. security) so the first paragraph wraps around it.

Also looking at your current website it looks like a lot of your current work is software based, but then in your blog http://aerotekit.com/safe-internet-browsing-2 you give away alot of free information?????

You might want to switch off comments on your blog posts

As its a new domain, this wont be much of a problem yet, but once its been in the wild awhile you will start to get a lot of comment spam through.

If you really do "need" comments on, consider adding a recaptcha system to mediate the level of garbage that will come through.

Yeah i was considering how to handle this. I wouldn't mind people having the ability to comment on the blog post, but I have read that it can dilute the keyword percentage on a site. I'm not a big SEO pro so i am not sure if this is an actual problem or not. If i do leave comments on there will be a captcha for sure.

I left my blog open and I got crap coming through! Put a video capcha up and it's stopped , I recommend you do!

I've got a low traffic site and j got crap if yours high then its a def must!
