Network connection limit xp home

anyone have experience with network connection limit on xp home, does it also apply to xp pro and what would count as a connection for instance a network printer. I have a file server that running xp pro but some of the workstations running xp home. Thanks for your help

The way I understand it is yes, while it is being used. The link above from a previous post has this info: Any file, print, named pipe, or mail slot session that does not have any activity is automatically disconnected after the AutoDisconnect time has expired; the default for the AutoDisconnect time is 15 minutes. When the session is disconnected, one of the ten connections becomes available so that another user can connect to the Windows XP system.

That's correct. I have setup many users to a shared printers on a computer with a 10 connection limit with no problems.
