Netgear R6300 Router

I just picked up this router for my house, and it is awesome.

I was getting poor coverage and speed from my old router (Fios actiontec model), so wanted something that would extend my coverage and improve my speed. I can now get wired speeds using the 5Ghz wireless connection. I was getting 78mbps download speeds on my iPhone and iPad this morning, and barely any drop in speed when i moved to the opposite side of my house. (my internet package is 75/35)

Anyway, I just wanted to share how impressed I was with the speeds this router can achieve, and while it is pretty expensive at close to $200, if you're looking for high end wireless speeds, this is the way to go.

I have the same router at my house and I agree it is a real nice unit. I like that speed you are getting with fios.

I get 30/5mb on my fiber service with Lumos Networks....They now offer up to 300MB/150MB connection....but is big bucks!

Just noticed were you are from.....2.5 hours east of me as I am over near Staunton VA

I used to have the 25/25 service, and just bumped it to the 75/35 and it was just a few bucks more. The also offer and 150 and 300 package, but it's big bucks also.

I've never been up to that part of the state, but I have been meaning to go visit the Shenandoah area. Might have to head up that way in the spring.

I moved here from upstate NY about 19 months ago....absolutely love this area.

I also motorcycle which has been great exploring some of the great roads throughout VA and WVA.

I hate yall too. We have fiber all under the ground here in my area but nobody is hardly using it to its full potential. 5MB up 50 down here. *sigh*

It's a fairly fast router, capable of ~780 megs of bidirectional throughput.
