Hi all,
I have Spectrum internet in my 2400 sq ft home, 2 story, and having a weak WiFi signal, which I am looking to improve. A WiFi 7 router was installed in my office, which is in my room over my garage, which is where my office is and my computer is hardwired right to the router. I am receiving speeds of 459.33 down and 40.26 up. Most of the time my computer is fast, but there are times it runs slow opening programs. My concern is that my living room, where my big screen TV is, is only receiving 130 mbps when I do a speed test through the Spectrum site. I am not sure if this is good or bad. I was streaming with a Firestick but after the picture continued to buffer I purchased an ONN Pro, which also buffers, but not to the extent of the Firestick. I recently had a Spectrum serviceman come into the house who opened the coax line right behind my TV, but capped it, and instructed me to leave it capped unless I move the equipment from my office to the living room, and then to cap the coax outlet in my office. Not sure what that is about. My actual question is, would I be better off moving the equipment and hopefully my computer in my office doesn't slow down, look into a better router, mesh system or MoCa? I have no clue what to do and looking for advice.
