Need a program that will email when IP address changes

I'm looking for a program that will send an email when your public IP address changes. There are some customers I'm doing after-hours support for that don't have a static IP, and I need to know their public IP so that I can remote in. I looked around for a program like this a while back, but wasn't able to find anything.

Yes I can google. Saw that one, but was turned off by the price.

Good idea. They have a program that can monitor the IP address, and some routers have the functionality to update it as well. I wonder if I can get away with using the free version though...

Yes, a dynamic dns client would most likely be a better solution.

No-IP.com is another option.

I've personally used http://www.no-ip.com/ I wanted to use dyndns.com

It its free. There are other companies. If the clients had a residential type of router see if the router has a tab for DDNS, it it does it will give you a list of companies you can use. The neat thing is that if the router supports it from what I remember you dont need to download anything.

Yeah we use this, plus if your router doesn't have DDNS then you can download a program todo it.

I wrote one a year or two ago... I'll try to dig it up if you want it.. I had it parse the ip from a webpage then it used a gmail account to send out the e-mail with the info.

I agree with dyndns or no-ip they will notify you when the address changes.
