I went to muddle with the firmware on my NAS. The instructions of which were basically "Drop these files in your root and reboot the NAS". Did that but, after the reboot, I couldn't log into it.
So, I pulled the Volume_1 drive, plugged it into my bench box and booted up with Ubuntu via Sardu (rather than Windows as it's an ext3 format. I can see the drive, see the folders it's created, but they're locked/undeletable and give a "You are not the owner so you cannot change permissions."
And... I'm stuck.
I'll try another live ISO but more input couldn't hurt.
