[SOLVED] NanoStation loco M5

Anyone familiar with these?

On the back panel there are 6 LEDs. First is power, second is LAN, 3-6 appears to be signal strength. If the units are working correctly I would expect to see these LEDs light up. I've never worked with this particular model. Can someone confirm this?

Yup they should light up, like you said...power (if it's getting power), LAN (if there is an active ethernet connection)..and the basic signal strength for the first steps of aiming to the other paired unit.

I take it they are not lighting up anymore? Does the unit still work...complete the link, pass traffic? Or...dead dead dead?

Old model, may have died by now...although we still have a few in production going on ....probably well over 10 years.

Installed about six years I believe. Power and LAN light up but no signal LEDs. They are still orientated correctly but no traffic. I take it one or both have failed. Would a pair of NanoStation 5ACL be a suitable replacement do you think? or Nanobeams?

Yeah, any airMax unit will do. Just a matter of bandwidth desired, distance, and somewhat...environment.
Nanostations or Nanobeams are cheap.
I like the Isostation with the 30* Prism horn for "noisy" links (where other wireless may interfere...narrow that beam tight)
