The problem is not his actual website, its a module that doesn't play nice with the latest WP version - its not writing to the SQL DB correctly (and of course there isn't a new version of the module). I have the module and will be looking over the coding to see if I cannot get a work around to make it work. If not, there are other options.

Thank god (or whom it may concern) That I am using plain wp on my sites. But believe me: I felt in this trap a long time ago, too. So you see me keeping my fingers crossed that everything will go well.

FWIW Barcelona, I don't know if you have a backup plan in place, but I use a Wordpress backup plugin that has saved my bacon many times - once you get the issue sorted, if you don't have anything else installed try BackupBuddy - https://ithemes.com/purchase/backupbuddy/
Whatever backup solution you go for, if you have it you can rest assured that you can get your site back up if anything like plugins or other corruption makes your site go pear shaped.

One reason I switched to TSO hosting. They back up everything for you, including any DBs you have. restoring is a one-click job.

Yes but these guys actually make it easy to do the restore and put it in my hands. That's not been the case with other hosts I've used here.
