My take on the PC industry "dying" ?

I gotta say, that is pretty sweet. I can't enjoy games on a small screen though. My gaming pc has a 22 inch monitor and I want to go even bigger. If I get it fixed, I will be putting up my 47 inch plasma tv. Of course my wife thinks I am crazy.

Lol also running a Samsung syncmaster 22". But it does have a dock to plug it into a screen and keyboard/mouse.

Also Microsoft might be making an Xbox surface tablet.

Also just read this http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013...-will-ship-with-snapdragon-600-soc-in-the-us/ the new nexus s 4 will have 2 versions one with an 8 core CPU and one with a Qualcomm snapdragon 600 1.9GHz quad core.

Just to add a little more. The JCPennys by my house is now using iPhones instead of a pos.

And everyone talking about pc gaming what about the razr edge pro http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-edge-pro expensive but pretty cool. I-7 processor, 8gb of ram, Nvidia 640m, close to the same performance of my desktop.

Neat toy.. but a ddr3 video card and a watered down i7 isn't a gaming rig.

Also, there's good money to be made setting up and maintaining pos systems on ipads and android tablets. Something that had a slightly higher barrier to entry previously due to specific hardware and software requirements.

I agree it's not the best thing out there for games but it competes with consoles and I bet could run any new pc game fine on med-high settings strictly because there are less and less pc only games and most are just ports from consoles.

Maybe, but at $1000 you could build a system that would TRASH this thing.

Hell you could do it for half that, and spend $200 on a chinese android tablet AND put $300 in the checking account.

There is no reason to try to make a tablet something it's not. Will be able to "be" a desktop replacement in the future? Maybe. Probably. But not right now.
