This device is by a company called syba. It plugs into the usb port of any pc and then hooks onto any drive. Like IDE, Sata, notebook drives, etc. If you follow Jim's advice of having a pc right next to a clients pc you are working on, so you can just run a cable across and "slave" the clients drive for virus scans, this device makes it easier.
It's item # N82E16812186036 on newegg.com for $13.00 some people have found it for less or more at other sites. The device has a power adaptor and multiheads, so you just plug it into the pc you will do the scan from and then run the cables over to your clients pc, disconnect their cables, and connect yours. You don't even have to take their hard drive out of their computer. Just run the cables over to their computer, and remove viruses while their hard disk remains screwed into their case.
