I usually try to purchase Multi - License A/V (3 pc, digital download). However, what usually happens is that the A/V subscription starts on the purchase date.

I recently experienced this with my latest purchase of Trend Micro, which I purchased back in September. I used 2 keys that month, no big deal, and I used the last key yesterday and noticed an expiration date in Sept. 2015. :(

I don't sell A/V all that often, so this amount of time can elapse before the next key gets used...

When purchasing from the egg/other, I have attempted to verify in the past when the subscription actually starts, and although the pretty little thing on the other end of the phone is very cheery and wants to help me, they really have no idea.

I tried contacting the A/V company in the past and got a major runaround with no clear answer.

Question:

Do any of you purchase multi key A/V that will activate EACH license on the INSTALL date, not the PURCHASE date? If so, I'm interested.

My experience with Kaspersky is that each unique KEY starts the year on the activation date, not the purchase date.

However if you buy a license that is good for say 3 machines then when you activate the first machine then all subsequent installs expire on the date of the first install. But all three machines would use the same key.

Yes, that's what I meant. The key starts on the activation date. (not the purchase date, oops :o

Guess what I need to look for is a purchase with three unique keys, or try to upsell each and every client an AV subscription.

When I purchased the digital downloads of Kapersky and ESET they didnt start until the activation date.

By the way NYJimbo if you come across those deals again for the downloads on the A/V let us know. I wanna stock up on them again.

I don't know how many here use antivirussales.com but they have some really nice pricing on Kaspersky Internet Security, Avira and Avast if you become a reseller.

Our Eset reseller portal allows customization of dates. It defaults to being active the day you order it (which is typically when we install it)...but there are date over-rides.

Aren't those deals typically intended for 3 PCs in the same household? If you're reselling each license to a separate customer, I would check the TOS carefully if I were you.

Some are and some aren't. I do check the terms; I just looked at Kaspersky Antivirus 2015 3PC/Users - $29.95, and I see no mention of same household use. AVG from the same vendor states "3 PC is valid when used on SAME internet Connection/Network."

Those are definitely one license but 3 machines so its same household. All expire on anniversary of 1st machine install.

I wonder why Kaspersky is not making this clear? On the third party reseller site I read through all of the Product Info./Specs/Manufacture info. and there is nothing that states one household.

I see what you mean, it isn't stated outright in the reseller page you linked. However, I would imagine that the EULA on the software itself is probably clearer - what does it say?
