MS Action Pack Pricing

Good Afternoon All,

I have been researching how to become a MS Certified Partner, and it all seems do-able for me, but I CANNOT find out the price for the Action Pack Subscription. Also, does this have to be renewed yearly or is it just yearly (or every 2 years) for the testing?

You can become a Microsoft partner without the Action Pack, but it is available for purchase after becoming a partner. I think that it is either $295, or $395.

Honestly, the instructions on the MS page confuse me...

I am already a Registered MS Partner

I will be taking 70-282 soon

I passed the Skills and Marketing or whatever, assessment...

Would I then be a Certified MS Partner or do I also need to achieve the 25 or so points as well?

I believe you are still a registered partner until you hit the 25pts, which is if I remember correctly, one certification.

(or you have someone in your employ that is certified SBS/MCSA/E)

Certified Partner takes 50 points, not 25. It's not trivial to become Certified Partner but if SBSC is your first competency and you are already are MCSE you might have enough. If not, go out and do a bunch of Assessments with the Toolkit. you get 1 point per assessment. Do the math here: https://partner.microsoft.com/40023316

Cost of MAPS is either $295 or $299 - just call it $300.

The MS Partner Program website is far far the most poorly designed website I have ever seen. Knowing where you have been, and how to get to where you're going is next to impossible. You're not alone.

And the ActionPack renewal is every year.
