ok so i have made a change from joomla to wordpress. Never really got into web design but i quite like working with wordpress compared to Joomla. I decided on the Avada theme as it seems to be quite popular and does what i want. I also got the WHMCS Bridge for my client portal which works well too.
Just want to get some feedback on site and any suggestions you have will be much appreciated.

Bare in mind website base in Australia so load times maybe slower for some but i have optimised it to the best of my abilities.
thanks

Just tried it on my mobile device, looks like your theme is not mobile ready. There was a discussion few weeks ago about google not ranking non-mobile sites as highly as they used to.

I like it.
I especially like your front page slider.

Keep in mind that I am viewing it from a linux based system (some fonts are not available) I think some of your fonts could be enlarged a bit. From my perspective they look like they are 8pt in size.

Good job :)

thanks everyone- i originally had the responsive design on but i couldn't get my slider looking right on this. Does anyone know a way to hide the slider from mobile devices or make the pictures smaller for mobile devices.

i have turned it back on so you can see what i mean.

have had a look through the settings on fusion slider but no options for responsive design. Ideally i want to reduce the size of image and text on mobile devices.

So what i have done is reduced the size of the slider and also reduced the font sizes.
At least you can read the slider text from mobiles now. The image is still large but i can live with that.

If you have Firefox installed then fire up /tools/ web tools/ inspector and find the code in the the responsive.css and give it a 'display: none; " option.

I say responsive.css because I normally see it involved but inspector will tell you where it is.

Thats my guess anyways.

Its got way too much going on. A quick what you do, where you do it and a phone number is all you need.
There are also quite a few problems, primarily with speed.

Your "Time Till First Byte" is 4 seconds which is pretty bad, usually caused by a bad host but can be by a crappy plugin.

Takes 12 seconds to load and is 840kb in size. Thats waaaay too much, it needs to be resized to the size that it will get displayed at and optimized. You should be able to get it under 150kb.

Most SEO/Sales experts say that sliders reduce conversion. Also, if the site isnt responsive you wont rank on Google on mobile devices at all. If the slider is holding you up from being responsive, kill it. Being responsive is FAR more important.
