For a classified ads site, which module or what is the best way to go?

HI all,

I'd like to open up a new classified ads site in my area (and maybe branch out). Initially I just want to allow people to sell and buy on my website. Later on I'm going to bring in videos and ads for revenue. I might even put in an area where people can sell things similar to Ebay but that's much later on.

My thoughts are to use Wordpress and some module in there but I haven't that much experience with it.

What would you all (experienced with this) recommend?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had a website built with phpprobid about 5 or 6 years ago. I put hundreds of hours into building out this local auction and ad website. The FB buy sell trade groups and FB marketplace after those put the death to it. I'm not sure what you're after but this allows auctions as well as classified ad listings. Probably the best way to go. I don't think WP with plugins would get you where you want to go.
