Hello everyone, I have a desktop that is having a video problem, the system has 3 displays after the system is on for a min the screens on all monitors start to jump/ flicker then the 3 video shows the screen in split-screen the bottom of the screen shows at the top and the bottom of the screen is on the top. Then when this happens the mouse disappears for a min then reappears somewhere else other than where the mouse was prior to the flicker so it makes it really hard to use the system while this is happening. The system is a Hewlett-Packard - 500-017c with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 video card, the main monitor is using the onboard video card and monitor 2 is using the HDMI of the Nvidia card and the 3rd monitor is using the VGA port of the Nvidia card. any suggestions on what's going on?

I've never seen onboard video used along with a discrete video card. Didn't know it could be done and may be the problem but I don't know for sure. Does the Nvidia card have a third port (Display Port or DVI) that can be used instead of onboard? What happens when you boot to Linux?

Without checking the Event Log it's hard to be certain, but this sounds to me as if the NVidia display driver is locking up and being restarted. I've seen something like it before where the GPU was overheating but it's also consistent with a faulty driver.

So...

1. Check the Event Log
2. Check the GPU temperature (under a reasonable load)
3. Install the latest drivers or break out the SDIO

Five minutes of work, lots more information.
