We have an Acer Aspire 5349 in that has a screen that is mirrored.

The screen is mirrored even in the bios and the output is a bit pixely.

I have attached a few pictures to show you more of what the problem is.

It works fine on external.

Could this be the screen that is causing this?

Thanks

Ive had the screen out and plugged in my test screen only to find out that had given up on me

So ive just ordred a new screen in its only a £40 one and its a pretty common one so if its not the screen I can always use it in another laptop.

Wasn't there a virus around that done this a while bacK? Not sure if if would affect anything before Windows loaded though.

Tough decision for the client, £40 screen or £5 mirror.

Since it's a common screen, have you try the other way around. Connect the screen to a good laptop.

ive had this problem with my car PC lcd monitor where the ribbon cable wasnt plugged in all the way. once i corrected that it was fine

It's either the inverter or flux capacitor. Do you have any extras laying around that you could swap them out for?

Hi guys, thanks for the responses, i have had the screen out and put my test screen in, like I said before my test screen has died on me!

Im going to double check the cable now to make sure its connected correctly.

I have a replacement screen on order that should arrive some time today.
