stay far away from malls!!! they are FAR over priced!! both my stores are in strip malls -- which do great, in the mall you have to rely on just mall traffic, and no other signage it;s a bad setup imo --- I have looked at the kiosks before for our cellular end -- but still run the other way.


As for "renting a corner" I know I would NEVER do that, and would never recommend it. The fact that people will see you as xyz instead of abc because you are in xyz means your work reflects them, and xyz's work reflects you.... not something I want in the least!!!!

We did that. In fact we still are, so we have spots in 3 towns but have less in overhead than we'd have in one shop. Also less risk because if it does not work out you aren't risking much money.

Edit, for the above poster I see what you mean we've had good luck so far. But when we picked the locations we are in with an office supply store, lawyer and a real estate office. So far it works well for us. If it works out later that we can go to a full store, that would be great, still growing though.
