I have a MacBook with what looks like a failed SSD -
Model SAMSUNG MZ-JPV5120/0A4
Size 500 GB
The mac boots midway then blacks out, so removed SSD put into a OWC enclosure.
In Linux it detects the drive mounts etc, If I where to browse to Users/USERNAME/ [is using BOOTCAMP] any folder I click on in there causes the SSD to freeze and I have to force disconnect SSD.
When I tried DDRESCUE it starts after Drive/Partition Selection, though then the drive just drops out as get a no source error and I notice the drive is no longer mounted.
It occurred after a Big Siri update, looks like it has bricked the SSD.
Anyone have any idea of the cause of this, seems board level on SSD to me.
|-TIA-|
