Acer E5 series. Some of those wafer thin laptops don't have a port - Cant remember the make but it was darn annoying at the time. Workaround via USB stick to get wifi drivers
My son's Inspiron 7000 is like that, has a little pop-down tab to expose the ethernet port - at first glance it looks like a USB port, and god help me I tried shoving a USB stick in it once, that's how I found out.Yeah - Found one recentley with a 1/2 height etherenet port. It had a pop-up tab thing that opened let you plug the cable in ! Why do that ???
Is there any use for something like this anymore? The last time I used my one must have been about 3 or 4 years ago!
Acer E5 series.
Fondly known as the Acer Slim and Shyte in the workshop here! Others have followed suit now.

i came across one of those last week. Spent ages going over the case with a flashlight and magnifying glass till i came across an icon i recognised and realised it opened up to allow the plug to go in.Yeah - Found one recentley with a 1/2 height etherenet port.
