latest version of safari with 10.13

This has been happening on a few 10.13 installs and I think 10.14 also. Even after getting all of the main updates the app store is not offering to update safari past version 11. Do you know a way to force it? I do see some downloads available on non-apple sites but am hesitant to use them. This current computer is a 2011 iMac running 10.13.6. We have rebooted and checked multiple times but still will not offer a safari update.

i have not encountered that issue yet but sometimes you can find some good help

I suspect it would came through eventually I did use the download from macupdate and it went smooth
