I have a customer's Acer Aspire 5315 in and it needs a new LCD screen. Looking around, there isn't one specific to this laptop, and from previous screen replacements, there doesn't seem to be any difference in connectors between screens (except on older laptops.)

Can I get any 15.4" laptop LCD and slap it in, or is there a difference in connectors, etc?

No. There are differences.
Take the display assembly apart, find the model number of the screen (LTN154X1-L02, or whatever it is) and buy based on that.

ALSO INSTEAD OF PUTTING N154l2-L05, TRY N154L2 I FOUND 5 ON EBAY.COM

You can't do that. There are (or can be) differences in wiring / pinouts for the display cable between N154L2-L05 and N154L2-L02....

But, yeah...just searching for the model of computer brings up a few screens. I normally don't buy that way, but there doesn't seem to be much choice. Hopefully it works.

the reason i suggested that because the way ebay works sometimes because if you put in the code it brings up no results but when you shorten it and search it comes with different LCD'S so you just look for the model number you are looking for, also i would just seach ebay for the computer name and model number and not the LCD number, you will get better search results, you could also search for acer apire LCD screens.

I can dig it. I just want to make sure that nobody gets the wrong impression that the "-xx" part doesn't matter.

Wow, thanks. I was looking on ebay.ca, and nothing was coming up; strangely enough, the same screens from the US are on there now too. Weird
