Jeans, boots and a nicely ironed and tucked in polo shirt or long sleeve button up shirt in the winter. I live in small rural town and very few people get dressed up. I was in Lowe's the other day and saw a man in black slacks, a nice dress shirt and a tie and I thought about how funny it looked to see someone that dressed up. Even our bankers all wear khakis and a polo shirt now days. I think it just depends on the area and the people you are servicing. If I showed up with slacks and a tie 95% of my customers would think I was going to a funeral or a wedding.:D

This area is a bit of a struggle for me.

I used to wear a dickie work shirt with my logo printed on it, with black dickie cargos.

Now I usually wear a logo t-shirt and "nice" jeans. I may change this up to something nicer again soon, and just use the coveralls I carry with me to protect my clothes when I really need to get dirty.

I never know what I am going to get into when I visit a client or if I am going to visit a new client that day. I am frequently climbing under dusty desks, and trouble shooting wiring issues.

No one has ever complained about what I wear, and everyone seems to respect me and the work I do, although just because no one has ever said anything about what I wear doesn't mean they like it.
