I need:

Vista x64 service pack 2
7 x86

Cannot be modified in any way. Cannot be cracked or activated. Must be an unmodified copy of a genuine OEM disc (UNBRANDED from Microsoft).

I've looked on different torrent sites, but can't find what I'm looking for.
I've only been able to get Vista x86 SP2 and 7 x64

EDIT: --- I'm not asking for cracked torrents of Windows. I'm asking for torrents that are uncracked/unmodified AND REQUIRE you're OWN product key to Activate.....

P.S. -> I have access to Technet downloads BUT -> Aren't the OSs there RETAIL = won't work with OEM keys ?!?!?!

Please read the forum a bit more before you make posts like this.

There's nothing wrong with this at all

EDIT: I thought you meant this post was not allowed because I was asking for a link to a torrent
(I'm asking for a copy of Windows w/o a product key or cracks)

Now I know you meant that I should have done a search beforehand, which I did, but was still confused on this subject.

All I got out of that was you can get the XP 9 in 1 ISO, but I've already got that

And you can use Technet OS downloads to install Windows
BUUTTT -> they're considered to be RETAIL discs = not compatible with OEM product keys from customer's COAs

There is nothing wrong with the post "as such".
The issue is that this has been talked to death here and there is lots of good info in the existing posts.

i'll do the honour of summarizing them though:
1) Nobody here will provide links to downloads (due to piracy concerns)
2) Join technet to get access to lots of Microsoft software to download - they are only retail copies however and are not for use for your business purposes ie you cannot have your business's Server 2008 running on a technet key.
3) For OEM versions, you will need to copy customer disks as you come across them. You can often remove manufacturer info depending on how they have created their discs and the version of windows. You may be able to use retail disks to install and Microsoft may allow activation depending on the version of windows.
4) the OEM license actually states that you must use the media that shipped with the machine. So, by using copied from customer media you are technically breaking that license. However, it works and Microsoft doesn't seem to mind.
5) A lot of methods work for installing windows but a lot of them technically break the license. You should try to conform as much as possible but MS allow a lot of things go - probably for good PR.

Torrented copy of Windows + Your own personal (or customer's) Certificate of Authenticity = legal :)

Nope. But as i said MS will allow it. Does not mean it is legal as you are in violation of the license.
As a side note - try and avoid torrented copies of windows as you are not certain of what little extras have been put in there by the nice and friendly crackers.

+1 thanks

-- I think it's easiest to reinstall Windows with an unbranded OEM version from Microsoft (e.g. MS Windows 7 OEM) --- this makes it so you don't have to use different branded discs (e.g. Dell OEM discs for Dell systems).

So far I've only used my torrented copy of Windows XP Home OEM SP3 (unbranded and unmodified) and it's activated every time with MS over the Internet w/o having to call MS (used customer's own COA product key)...

I've got Win Vista x86 that can Install all versions of Vista (Universal disc) and activates with the COA key. -- Also got Win 7 Home Premium OEM x64, which can have the ei.cfg removed, which turns it into a Universal disc like Vista.... + the 9 in 1 XP disc

SO -> now all I need is Vista SP2 OEM x64 and Win 7 x86 OEM

So ur saying there's no way I can obtain a legit/unmodified/safe/uncracked OEM version of MS Windows via torrent?!?!

I guess this means I'd have to purchase Windows XP, Vista, and 7 OEM discs for EVERY version.... ??? :(

The Technet versions of Vista work on OEM. If I remember correctly, they say "N/A" where the XP downloads say "Retail". Maybe not...but I do know that my Vista Sp2 discs came from Technet.

And, for the record, I'll fill you in, since you're new. We're a forum for Techs, not end-users. As such, we like it when you do your homework a little...including searching the forum. Tempers tend to flare a little if we're expected to do your google searches for you. ;)

I understand lol... I've done the Google thing, but am still confused on this either way... :/

So would this work:

For Windows XP -> Use the Win XP 9 in 1 CD to install ANY version of XP WITH a customer's OEM product key

For Win Vista AND 7 -> Use the Technet versions (I can get Vista Business SP2 and Win 7 Pro) ---- THESE will work with OEM keys and WILL install ANY version of Vista + 7 ??????

(I believe Vista is a Universal disc by default, but Win 7 has to have the ei.cfg removed, which will turn it into a Universal disc like Vista)
THE BIG QUESTION IS -> WILL OEM KEYS WORK WITH THESE RETAIL VERSIONS?

oh you probably can find a good version alright but its best to avoid it if you can.

You won't have to purchase them - just copy customer discs as you come across them. Most people do keep them safe. if they didn't - well you don't want your business associated with pirated software. I know you are using their COA but this is where you will find the arguments :D

Some will say its ok to use torrents and use the COA. Some will say they should go to the manufacturer and order discs. Some will say the cust needs to buy a retail copy etc etc
The arguments are repeated all over the net but it all boils down to one simple fact
- do what you feel is necessary for your customer and business but know the facts :)

If I use the customer's discs then they will be BRANDED (HP with HP, Dell with Dell) so I'd need one for all the major manufacturers (1 for HP/Dell/Gateway/Acer/Toshiba etc etc)....

So much easier to just have the unbranded version from MS.... It may not be acceptable by the license policy, but MS accepts it every time and allows Windows to be activated = ok by me

the branding can be removed with nlite/vlite. i would use dell images as the base for this as they make very few changes to the MS basic image.

That's not what he said. He said TRY and void the them because YOU NEVER KNOW what MIGHT be in there.

or you can buy a few of those OEM versions and keep the disc for future installations. I needed one for one of the for my cousin anyway. The downside is cost of course. win7 home premium goes around the net for at least 110USD at this time. But for win7, one single disc will install any key for you. Windows will determine your version based on the key.

When I started out I just made copies of my own XP SP0 CD and used that. Then I got a copy of SP2 from a build job I was doing so I copied that, then more recently I had to buy a copy of XP Oem for another system so I copied that.

I have a Dell Vista Basic CD from my own laptop so I have used that but can only use it on Dells.

I have a Vista SP0 CD OEM which is my own so often use that.

I don't have any Windows 7 discs yet but if I need one for a client I will just buy an OEM copy and use it myself :). I am putting of upgrading to Windows 7 until I need to buy it.
