What about furnace filters? You'd need to come up with an aesthetic way of mounting them but they already are good for airflow and don't push chemical scents, etc. in to the air. They're also not that expensive, especially that one filter could be cut down to about a dozen fan vent-sizes.

Looks like someone else likes the idea of fishnets.

I've decided that I will likely get Noctua's for my case since they're so highly regarded. I'd like to cover all my fan vents and non-fan vents with pantyhouse to keep dust out. I chose pantyhouse because it's cheap and fully customizable. My problem is that I have no idea how to apply it to the case. I don't want to use tape and make it look tacky/cheap. I saw one person say they use velcro dots.

I tried connecting the air conditioner filter to a side panel, but the double sided mounting tape isn't sticky enough to hold it in place. I need a different removable adhesive.

Is the side panel plastic, metal? Give us a photo of it.

If possible I would look at cleaning up the air in the room the equipment is running and not cover any vents, and maybe set up a maintenance schedule.

Not cheap but DEMCiflex makes some really nice removable filters.
