Greetings all :) I have to say upfront that I have zero experience in app creation, however Gemini and Claude.ai are my new best friends and I tried to create an app to allow me to download all iOS ipsw's and iPadOS ipsw's using the IPSW.me api, so that I can download all files on one place, without having to open all the iOS files pages one at a time, it verifies iOS updates and if available it will send a notification, the saved files will go to the default "Apple Configurator" folder.
So let me introduce "iOS Download" and some of its functions:

  • One app to download all signed Apple iOS files
  • Saves all files in "Apple Configurator" folder, so that you can immediately restore your devices
  • If app is running in the background, it will search for new iOS updates and send notification if the latest release is available
  • Allows to download 3 files at once and queue others
  • Info button to share release notes of iOS files
  • Filter option for iOS version
  • Filter option for model version
  • Filter option for ipsw files on HD only
  • Shows amount of space used
  • Allows change destination folder
  • Will update iOS version and iPhone models when new ones are available
  • macOS Ventura 13.5 is the minimum macOS requirement
  • English and Portuguese language available
  • Fixed bug that didn't detect previous versions of iOS and didn't deleted them
Please test, it is not on the App Store and it will ask for "security permissions", but it is free of malware or anything malicious :)

Feel free to drop your feedback and suggestions :D

I know you probably can't get around this, but posting the screenshots in case anyone needs a hand with it.

I'm tied up with a lot of end of the month stuff still. I'll try it, but I'm not sure I understand the purpose. I don't recall needing to download files like this much in recent years. Can you explain the use case a bit more?

Sure :) this is more for technicians who work a lot with iPhones and need to have the IPSW files in store to restore the iPhones, if you only have a couple of them every now and then, then maybe it is not a good tool for you :)
I have to restore a couple of them every day, so for me, I find It useful because it allows me to have the most updated versions of iOS and iPad OS in my HD, before building this tool I had to download them by "hand" and individually and it was time consuming.
