Internet Printing Problem

I have a customer who has a Windows 7 PC with a Photosmart Plus B209a-m printer attached.

Although it prints from applications such as Word etc, it will not print a web page using Internet Explorer.

I have remotely accessed the PC and tried several options, such as resetting IE, adjusting margins and changing page sizes and tinkering with the print options, but nothing seems to work.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions that may lead to a quick fix with this problem.

No messages just no printing of web pages. I have just received a message from the user that the problem still exists even after reinstalling the printer software and after I had completed a system restore to the day before the problem started.

I must admit, I have not tried reinstalling IE completely as suggested by Skaterizme, and at this stage there is nothing to lose. Thanks Guys.

Actually JW suggested reinstalling IE, not me-:)

I was thinking along the lines of a setting in the browser. If the customer had Firefox installed, I'd suggest trying to print something from that browser or maybe ask the client if they wanted to start using Firefox instead of IE-:)

Very strange though.

Sorry about the mix-up, but all deserve a mention. However, I do have a final resolution to this problem. Purely by chance I opened Internet Options and under the General tab for some unknown reason pressed the "Use Current" button, and believe it or not "Internet Printing" was restored to normal working order.

I spent quite a long time searching for a possible fix before approaching the forum, but never expected that a chance click of the "Use Current" button under Internet Options would acutally cure the problem that seems to be a mystery to manner both technically minded or otherwise.

Perhaps this unusual fix is one to keep in the back pocket. Thanks again Guys for your suggestions.
