Internet Explorer fails to install with error 9C59

Heya all

Working with a business client who was finally allowed to upgrade from IE8 to IE11.. (yeah dont ask)..anyway, oddly, on one of the newest computers IE 11 fails to install with error 3FD.

It initially failed along with other Windows updates (all of which went in succesffully) I have tried the stand alone installer in normal and safe mode, but IE 11 fails to install.

Tried to look up this error, but not much out there. Anyone have any suggestions on this one?

Have a look at the install log (IE11_main.log file in the \Windows folder). It might give you a better clue as to the root of the problem.

I would also run CheckSUR to see what it can fix up, if anything.
 
Sadly I became disconnected from my remote this evening. I did grab the logs before this however. It appears there may be an issue with closing a service?

I did attempt earlier in the day via safe mode with the same error, however...

I will revisit this and run CheckSUR come Monday.. But if these logs gleam you or anyone else any information, I would love to hear it!

OK.. Seems like no one has any feedback regarding this issue.. So allow me to change it up a bit. During this week I was able to at least get IE10 installed. However, now when I attempt to install IE 11 (via updates or stand alone installer) I get the new, following, errors:

Error 0x80070643
Error code 9C59

Some of the steps taken:
1) Renamed the Software Distribution folder.
2) Ran the system update readiness tool
3) Installed all other updates (and confirmed all required updates for IE11 are indeed installed)

Any thoughts on this annoying, continuing, saga would be welcome!
