Hello my client's laptop keeps entering standby on it's own evey 5 seconds. I have narrowed it down to be the Intel GMA driver, When I uninstall it it's fine. There doesn't seem to be an updated version. Any ideas as how to get passed this?
Model: Acer Aspire 3680 Series

ugh, Acer I cant stand Acer.....If your sure its def that maybe uninstalling and reinstalling will just clear it up?

In the past 3 Acer systems I've worked on (all laptops) I always disable all the Acer components/drivers. They don't do anything but slow the system down and so far no client has had an issue with speeding up their computer at the cost of software they don't really use.

Definitely agree this should always be done (I hate the crap that comes preloaded on netbooks), but make sure you still have the drivers for the fcn key's. Most clients wont appreciate not having those work.
