Incorporated my business

Over the weekend I decided to incorporate my business. Because of New Yorks publication requirement for LLCs I decided that incorporating would be the better decision. I have been thinking of doing this for some time and I finally decided upon Primary Technology Solutions Inc.

Consider electing to be an S Corp to avoid double taxation.

Yeah I was definitely going to do that. My mother has expressed interest in going into business with me so I'm thinking of giving her majority shares and setting it up as a woman owned business and going after government work. It was the major reason why I wanted to set it up as an LLC, but I'm not going to spend $1,000 to meet the publishing requirements that do nothing but help subsidize the newspaper industry. I did read that some people ignore it and satisfy the publication requirements only if they need to sue someone.

I registered as a S-Corp after an earlier LLC partnership had to be disolved. It seems to work out for a better tax advantage. I also have a storefront and there are plenty of expenses that I can right off as well as an S-Corp.

Pretty much an LLC and an S Corp should work in the same way when it comes to taxes.
