For some reason after a security windows update ie11 stopped working on some sites like facebook and google, wiped drive and reformatted windows 7 then installed ie11 it works ,update windows and those 2 sites stop working again.
Tried to get customer to use another browser but they want to only use IE :(
funny thing is ie8 works fine but 10 and up nope.

This is exactly why I install Chrome and FF for my clients as backup browsers. If the client is adamant about IE they'll have to wait until MS fixes the bug.

Have you tried the IE11 compatibility settings? May not be the same issue, but had a problem where IE11 suddenly wasn't displaying a webmail site correctly for two separate customers. Here's a note I sent to some tech friends of mine.

Ran into a situation today that I thought you might want to be aware of.

Had a customer with a verizon.net email address who accesses her email via webmail. PC is Win 7, Home Premium, SP1, x64.

Starting about a week ago, she would display her inbox and when she clicked on an email, the email’s header would show, but email’s body would be blank. (If she printed the email, everything would print as normal.)

Long story short: Verizon’s webmail page does not work correctly with Internet Explorer 11; prior releases of IE (and other browsers) work fine, it’s only IE 11 that fails. As you’re aware, MS Update is now installing IE 11 onto Win 7 systems, which must have happened about a week ago for this customer, which is when she noticed the problem. This customer was Win 7, but IE 11 in Win 8 might have the same problem.)

The ultimate solution is for Verizon to fix their webmail page, but a circumvention is to turn on compatability mode in IE 11 for the Verizon.net domain.
From the webpage displaying the inbox:
1. Click “Tools” on the IE 11 menu bar
2. Click “Compatability View Settings”
3. Add “verizon.net” to the list of domains
4. Click “Close”
The webpage will refresh and emails should now display correctly.

I've had so many problems with so many clients' sites NOT working with IE10/11, it's not even funny.

Try to keep them on 9, then train them to use Chrome or FF.

Fortunately, many companies with web-apps are pretty good at also being perfectly compatible with Chrome & FF.
