I changed all email addresses (rebrand) for a client, do I have to manually update EVERY single endpoint with the new email?

A client rebranded, it wasn't a big deal, just added the domain into O365 and added the new email addresses as aliases of the old one

i.e.
john@microsoft.com - then - john@microhard.com (alias)

Then I swapped the alias into the primary email position, and left the original email as an alias. Pretty standard stuff.

Email is flowing properly and all emails sent are coming from the new domain while retaining all historical data from the prior domain.

The problem is ... Outlook (old) and Outlook (New) are still displaying the email at the root of the mailbox as the old email, even though they are properly sending as the new email. I thought these might update themselves after 24-48 hours but... no go.

Do I really have to login to each computer and re-do the Outlook profile for it to visually display the new email address or is there an easier way?

The email address visible on the left side of Outlook is a label. The true link is to the mailbox itself.

The only way to force that change there, is to reset the Outlook New app, and reconnect, or rebuild the Outlook Profile for Outlook Classic.

There is no reason to do this technically, the mailbox determines the address that gets used, not the client.

It will slowly fix itself given time, but if you want to force the issue... manual effort.
