I despise social media, but... it makes me laugh. I never bother commenting because anything I would post has been said 300 times and will be contradicted 300 times anyway.

... all the petty arguing over something like elementary math.

Turns out about 50% of the population probably is completely unaware there are 132 halves in 66, and these people apparently lead seemingly normal lives.

I give credit to the 35 answer as if you read Divide by Half it can be read as 66 divided by halves(1/2 aka .5) or divide 66 by half(of itself 33) which leaves two formula options (66/.5)+33 or (66/33)+33 I don't know which answer is supposed to be the right answer though I lean toward the 66/.5 myself.
 
BTW, that's not really a "brain test" so much as a "how do you, personally, resolve a language ambiguity test."

The English phrase, "divide by half," is not generally construed as "divide by 0.5," but as, "divide by 2 or divide in half." Strictly speaking, either interpretation is within the realm of reasonable.
