Gotta say I agree. I find phone calls intrusive. An email or text I can ignore, until I'm done concentrating on what I'm working on or thinking about. A phone call is like a spoilt kid who wants your attention right now.

But a ringing phone can break your concentration and (if you ignore it) sometimes they'll try again, and again, and again.

And of course when you phone them back later, they don't answer. Now you're left wondering how long you've got before they try to phone again. So you wait a few minutes, just in case they phone right back. But they don't, so you decide to get back 'in the zone'. Shortly afterwards, just when you're becoming all focused and productive again, that's the moment they choose to return your missed-call call.

Well, you're managing your phone & your time. Or is your phone managing you?
I've set myself hours during which I can take the calls & call back, outside of these hours I don't reply! And I have a very soft ringing sound No stress -> better working conditions -> quality work

Okay, so I have this neighbor who has no job, and he constantly likes to play his loud bass music at 3 AM. His grandmother pays his mortgage, so he can sit home all day and do nothing living the required life at maybe 32.

Finally got his ass back.

I have about $900 in sound equipment, but I added an even bigger subwoofer.

I pointed it all at his house then I played both these at very high volume before leaving work at 5 AM. It worked brilliantly! I got a notice on my door that nobody could hear the city inspector... that the door was unanswered, but hat I had 48 hours to get a permit, which is $15.

I went down and filed for "miscellaneous concrete slab repair and leveling" as the project description and paid $15. Now, I am lawfully exempt from noise ordinances. I posted the permit conspicuously in a window blocking it such that nobody can see there are no workers doing construction.
