If its a straw then its not a normal drinking straw. When they pulled it out it didnt even look like a straw. Could have been some twig for all I know. If its such a big deal then just go to paper straws. Dont just add weird laws with major fines to waiters or what not.

What? I cannot go to California? lol...

I tell you, First they say coffee is bad for you. Then a year or so later its great for you. Then they turn around and tell you its bad for you again.

As for the straw in the nose, Wasnt this in Costa Rica? I didnt catch exactly where they found him but if it was Costa Rica why does California stick its nose in there? Seems to me C.R. needs to outlaw either straws or cocaine snorting turtles! lol..

The carcinogen at the heart of the lawsuit is acrylamide, which is present in many, if not most, cooked foods. And has been, apparently, for centuries. Maybe they should start giving new parents a warning label with their newborns. "Warning - living causes cancer"

Good sign to keep on hand.

He's very thorough. Looks like he's using soap too.

I guess someone said "you dirty rat!" and so he wanted to make a point.

Hmmm...Thanks for harshing my mellow!
I never considered the "other side" of the video and preferred to look at it for what it was.
When I die I'm going to come back as an Ninja Assassin and take out every one that inflicts cruelty on animals!

So I wonder if restaurants will make you sign a legal consent form while they videotape you. 6 months jail time for a cheap plastic straw is pretty harsh.
So is $1000 to a waitress who earns maybe $11 an hour at best + tips.

If I were the customer, I would tell the waitress to go to court, request a jury trial, and bring me along as the customer.
