That is seriously one of the most annoying things "please verify the age on your account that is old enough to drink"

Age Verification is the new way of Government ID. Soon MS will require "Age Verification" to install an OS.

If it's not clear that we've, again, reached the point where verification requirements are beyond the pale for almost every user, I don't know when that will become the case.

I've gotten the whole "send us a scan of your driver's license, front and back, and take a selfie of your face" thing several times recently from entities I've been working with for years, and for stuff that's not anything like bank accounts, credit cards, etc.

There will be another (and there have been in the past) rebellion soon.
