Having just installed MS Office 2013 via product key a couple of times I found the process so much harder than before. I really don't want to wait for software to stream then go through the phone activation with 7 tiny characters in each group. Nor do I see why I should have to divulge my email address to Microsoft. </rant>
Anticipating the time when my client's PC will fail and they will ask me to reinstall Windows & Office I have been running Belarc to collect a note of the product keys in case the client can not locate the installation media. With Office 2013 that is not possible. Does anyone know how to find out the product ID (from within Word or by copying registry keys perhaps) in some way other than getting a pencil and bit of paper out and copying from the key card ? (an option which would not exist if I was not the one to install Office in the first place).
