How long before my new site shows up on Google?

I recently jumped into the iPhone repair business, but my new site isn't on Google yet. I looked at Google's FAQs and learned that there is no such thing as "submitting your site to Google", you have to wait for Google to find it. How long does that take?

Linking to your site from somewhere like twitter (Or any other site that is regularly indexed for that matter) is a good way. Also setting up Google Webmaster Tools and submitting a sitemap. Or the link above.

OK, I submitted my site to Google, filled out the form for Google Places, and...nothing. I'm still not showing up. How long does it take? I tried several terms, such as "iphone repair sacramento" and "sacramento iphone 4 repair". I put an ad on CL, but realistically, NOBODY trusts CL. Any other ideas?

Can take anything from hours to weeks.

However I can see your site is indexed on Google. It was last indexed on the 29th July infact (assuming you are talking about http://www.bytebustermcr.com/).

people actually pay $120 for a screen replacement? YIKES! I guess since it's a "We'll come to you" service it's not too bad.... we're at $85 for screens and $30 for batteries.... but that's in our retail stores.

The price may be a little on the high side, I do realize that retail stores charge less, but I added up all my costs and decided that I couldn't do anything below $100. I think I'll try Plan B, which is $100 for screens and $50 for a battery.

Your site's indexed and as long as you do the right promotions, I think you'll do fine. Just make sure that you stay updated with Google's changes as these are the main determinant of getting yourself ranked high by the search engine. :)
