I currently am open 10-6 M-F. How many of you are open on Saturday and if so, is it a busy day? I am thinking of opening on Saturday. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

For me personally Saturday is a pretty decent day. I think maybe because people usually work M-F and use the weekend to take care of stuff that don't have time for during the week.

Since my hours of operation are mostly hobby hours as i have a full time job to keep me going till i build up a customer base and business.
so i offer hours up till 11pm 7days a week.

i find i get most of my calls on a sunday. (when every were else is closed)

I'm mostly Commericial/Governmental so its pretty much 24/7 altho the office is only 8-5 mon-fri

I would atleast take calls on saturday and holidays. Maybe forward your business number to your cell phone. Because I seem to get aleast 25% of my booking during those "Days off".

10-6 M-F, 10-2 Sat. office hours, here. I schedule on-site work whenever I need to, though, and charge accordingly based on the time.

Saturdays in the office are usually pretty slow, but we stay open because it gives people with jobs time to come in to get their system.

9:30am-5pm m-f, 9:30am-2pm Sat, closed sunday

But it doesnt matter, when I am open they rarely come in. When I am closed they are banging on the door like insane people. We have shades that cover every window when we are closed and sometimes on a Sunday I am in the shop doing work and two or three people will come up and try to open the door. When I did open on Sunday, nothing.....

That's NY'ers for you. Always want something they can't have immediately. Same thing with me, I only seem to get calls when I am closed, or have to run out.

Reverse psychology my friends...

Shut & lock the doors, pull the blinds... when a customer comes open the door when they knock and say "Tricked ya, how can I help you today?"

;)

I am kidding, by the way.

I closed a couple hours early on July 3rd because everyone else was doing it and it was a really slow day. As soon as I shut down and cracked open a beer a lady shows up with her laptop (we have security cameras all around the building so I can see even with all the shades closed). I couldnt open the door with the pizza and beer sitting here. An hour later the same thing. If I had stayed open you can bet nobody would have shown.

I was in the shop on New Years day fixing a server and some idiot saw me inside and wanted to know if I could fix a computer right now. I told him its new years day, we are not open. Did he come back the next day? NOPE !

We're open Mon-Friday from 10am - 6pm.. I start taking phone calls at 8, but the shop doesn't open till 10. On-Site Service is anytime between 9am and 9pm.

We used to have Saturday hours, but when I had the hours people would say they would be in on Saturday, and not show till Monday. The walk-ins on Saturday were maybe a handful, but now that I am not open on Sat everyone asks if I am, not that they would show up..
