I have a client with a large oddly shaped house who is interested in getting 100% coverage over the whole home. I have used DD-WRT routers in bridge /client bridge mode before, but I was wondering if there was an easier or more scalable solution. I ran across this product:

Anyone have any opinions?

Keeping an eye on it..interesting...but never wanted to use it for a client and have them disappear. I'd rather have a hardware product controlled all "in house"..and not rely on some cloud service for that.

For a single house, todays generation N gear should do it fine. I live in a 3,600 sq ft house...3 story, prior wrt54g with DD-WRT or Tomato barely got to the 3rd floor from the basement. Some corners at 1/2 strength. When I replaced with a Cisco e3000 unit...full coverage full speed all over. And my network cabinet (including access point) is in the bar in my finished basement!

If your clients house if really odd and challenging for wireless...get at 3 pack of Ubiquiti Unifi APs.....225 bucks or so, excellent performance.

Thanks for the feedback. I have an appointment Wednesday where I will take out an 'N' router and test it.
