Hard drive removal on a Vaio PCG 6J1M?

OK I removed the drive this afternoon and discovered it was actually a SATA. I so went and bought one as it would come in handy anyway. Fitted the new drive but the laptop back together the best it can, I boot into Ubuntu Live and I could surf the net on it, the WIFI etc all worked fine.

Just about to install Windows on it now and hopefully it will work. The old drive is damaged it rattles when shake it gently.

Just doing the finishing touches now, everything works perfectly and boots in around 40 seconds

Thanks for all the help and advise, I couldn't have done it otherwise.
