"Google’s newest update to its cloud storage service Google Drive is ready to fix your gaping data backup hole by letting you pick which folders on your device you’d like to back up to Google Drive instead of forcing you to put the files into a single Google Drive folder. It’s called Backup & Sync."

1TB = $10/mo. Release date: end of this month. It would appear this new version will work kind of like SugarSync (albeit at a much nicer price).

Google Drive will soon back up your entire computer

Ooohhh! Goody, so not only Microsoft will have all my data to sift through...

Basically like DropBox then? (It's been so long since I configured my DropBox.) OneDrive includes a local Documents and Pictures sync automatically, but I thought you could include other folders there also.

I don't use Dropbox like I used to. I pretty much use Google Drive for all my business stuff now.

I remember Sugar Sync and used it for awhile up until they discontinued it. Although that seems like a great feature, I prefer CrashPlan for backing up lol.

Google full PC backup would be nice but it has to be under the client's google account, right?
Can't you just setup a google PC backup and manage them all at the workshop....

Google plans a business version of this soon. I have a few clients who use GSuite, and this will be an excellent protector against "ransomware"

Full PC backup? I don't think so..... I couldn't imagine doing that into the cloud. I'd need a terabyte sized account and the "up" to the cloud would be weeks.
