Hey guys, I'm looking for a good quality 10" tablet running Windows 10 for a client. They would have a pretty easy job- just need to run RDP into the server. So hardware doesn't need to be rocket-ship fast, but I would like something relatively responsive in terms of powering it on from sleep.

I have a Chuwi 10 tablet for personal use, but it's way too off-brand to be of use here. Would like something from a mainstream provider like Lenovo, Dell, HP, ASUS would probably work too.

Anyone have a favorite?

There used to be a larger market for these devices. I would go Surface Pro with full warranty and coverage. The other units like the Surface sadly won't get the support or QA that Microsoft has. Plus from what I can recall, that space is mostly Chinese companies which isn't bad for personal use, but for a business that is relying on it for Point Of Sale did you say? Go Surface Pro and get a warranty that gives you next business day service.

Don't mess with budget solutions with point of sale, your client will and can turn crazy if something fails and there isn't a clear and documented process for it.

So all this is being used for is to RDP into a server to run a POS over the RDP session? Which, by the way, is hopefully through a VPN tunnel. Why not just an Android tablet?

Thanks for the tips guys- we did Lenovo 10 tablets.... back in November of 17 when I posted this! :D

I did Samsung tablets until they mentioned after the fact they wanted CC swipe, which isn't supported... so went to Lenovo 10 tabs, which had nice Lenovo protective cases and mag swipes work nicely.
