getting remote support started

I used to have a big headache and a melt down with this.

I normally get a client to go to page on my website and download the support tool. This was sometimes hardwork as they would struggle with links etc. The google search with urls, even though my business ranks well on page one in google for all the keywords. I can just say to client type "pc repairs location " and they will find me in google, then they would have to click through links to find my support page.

I needed to make this a painless approach for us and my clients.

The solution for me was a dedicated simple domain name which forwards to a splash page with my support tool and download instructions.

and for when im on the move a portable email client already configured for support with the text and download link. So all i need is the clients email. This seems to work great so far as this is a one click approach.

I have since also added a floating widget to my home page of my website, which when clicked offers support and download link. This way clients dont have to click through links to find my support page.

I also added live support chat which also works wonders too.
