gathering device information

Are there any free tools (like SIW) that I can use to gather information about client computers without installing the app?

I think the free version of SIW requires installation, but I'd like to be able to run this from a thumb drive. So if there are any free apps that do this from a thumb drive I'd appreciate a recommendation.

I've used Free PC Audit for several years:

It runs from my thumbdrive and I save a txt file with the info.
